The T-Birds started strong with a two goals in the first period (G – Fleischauer unassisted & G – Tomforde A – Fleischauer/Connolly) before giving up a late goal to end the period.
They regained the 2 goal lead within the first 5 minutes of the 2nd period on one of the nice goals of the season by Mercado on one of the best feeds from Fleischauer and Brdey, highlight goal for sure.
Ward Melville kept it close with back to back goals midway through the 2nd period. However the T-Birds answered right back with another goal by Mercado from Danny Jung. And the game scoring was capped with Savage’s 5th goal of the season with a helper from Mercado.
Many were missing from the line up but the defense played a much cleaner contest then the two night’s prior while only rolling 4 defensemen. The Crash Line of Treco, Lenihan, and Gray was very effective in creating opportunities and playing a sound game. Noah Tloczkowaki won his 3rd game of the season with a good effort in net.
