Congrats to the Team on a great bounce back win Monday night, 3-2 over West Islip. After losing a very good game on Friday night to East Islip 3-1, the T-Birds rallied from a 1-0 deficit heading into the second to win 3-2 with 2 goals in the second, and a game winning shorthanded goal from Sophomore Chris Esposito late in the 3rd period.
Excellent Goaltending from Sophomore Richie Westoff was key, as he was perfect at regular strength, and only allowing two goals on Power Plays (stay out of the Box – ha)!
First goal for power forward Will Bozeman put the T-Birds at one, with an assist to Sophomore Nicholas Masi. Chris Esposito scored his third goal of the season with an unassisted goal to put the T-Birds up 2-1 midway through the second.
Coach Ree said it was a very good win for the team, and excellent effort on defense, but really saw improvements from their game on Friday Night, moving in the right direction.
Schedule this week has Varsity playing Weds night vs. Smithtown at 7:50pm. Freshmen playing Saturday evening at 8pm v St. Anthony’s.
