T-Birds won their 2nd game in the past three games last night verse the Ward Melville Patriots, with a 5-4 victory. This was an exciting game to be a part of with the teams trading leads early on and never posting a bigger goal difference of 2 throughout the contest.

Patriots opened the scoring in the 1st period, but captain Ryan Fleischauer quickly tied it up, with a nice touch pass from Milovcevich. The T-birds found themselves down 2-1 early in the Second period only to respond with a dominate second half of the period. T-Birds had goals from Logan Booth Alam on the PP, followed by Andrew Jozwicki (first of the season), and Eathan Brdey in a 3 minute span to close out the period.

Third period saw Ricky Guterwill score an insurance goal and the T-Birds closed out a tight contest 5-4. In net was Alex Clark who improved to 4-1 on the season. Ricky Guterwill had his best game of the season to date finishing with the GWG and an assist. Eathan Brdey finished with a goal and an assist as did Ryan Fleischauer. It was a complete team victory as the T-Birds defense were the quiet stars of the games, limiting all shots to the outside of the perimeter of the net and very few odd man opportunities.

Varsity is now 6 wins and 7 losses and plays Weds night versus Kings Park/ Commack before the holiday Break!
